Why GeoComfort?
What’s so great about this equipment and what sets it apart from all the rest? Let’s take a hard look at the features that puts us miles ahead of the competition…..
LIFETIME CABINET WARRANTY:
Every GeoComfort cabinet carries a lifetime warranty. This means that if any cabinet fails, due to rust or corrosion, GeoComfort will replace the defective parts. (Ask your Dealer for details, or contact your GeoComfort representative for more details and a copy of the warranty).
COMPRESSOR BLANKET STANDARD:
All GeoComfort equipment comes standard with a high quality compressor blanket. These blankets are marvelous sound dampeners and assure quiet unit operation. They are not offered by many manufacturers and if they are it is at an added cost.
SWIVEL CONNECTIONS:
All Standard Water to Air equipment comes standard with swivel connectors on all fluid connections. This is not only a time and money saver during installation, but is also a great advantage if you ever have to remove the lines for service or repair.
POP OUT LOW VOLTAGE CONNECTIONS:
This is also a time saver, but is probably most appreciated by the installer, because they don’t have to lay on their stomach on the basement floor to do the control wiring. You can simply remove the terminal block, wire it and plug it back in.
UNLIKE STAINLESS STEEL, YOU CAN SCREW YOUR SHEETMETAL ON:
The installer need not wear out several drill bits and spend a half hour in order to install the plenum and return air duct.
CONDENSATE OVERFLOW PROTECTION:
This feature is an expensive option on other equipment but is standard on GeoComfort. This device will shut off the machine should the condensation line plug while in the cooling mode. Much costly water damage has occurred because of a plugged condensation line. This feature may not only save you a lot of money, but it offers peace of mind as well.
INTERNALLY TRAPPED CONDENSATE LINE:
There is no need to be concerned about installing external traps on the condensate line. Each GeoComfort unit is designed in such a way as to provide for internal trapping of condensate.
DESUPERHEATERS:
When you order a unit with a desuperheater (domestic hot water accessory), you not only get an internally mounted pump (external on EW series) but also all of the required fittings to hook to the domestic water heater (even an extra boiler drain). By the way, all desuperheaters are equipped with a “scald guard” device.
INTELLIZONE SYSTEM AVAILABLE:
GeoComfort offers the optional Intellizone System. This zoning package works with variable speed equipment in perfect harmony. This will provide four zones with NO BYPASS DAMPER. Many HVAC contractors will use nothing else. IF YOU USE ZONING – THIS IS THE ULTIMATE SYSTEM!!!
CHANGEABLE HEADS ON EXPANSION VALVES:
Some “lower end” equipment uses expansion valves with one piece, molded bodies. They are less expensive, but require cutting and re-welding if they must be changed. Most times, if an expansion valve fails the head is the problem. Our expansion valve heads may be screwed off and replaced without removing the entire valve. This saves much time and aggravation and, ultimately, a lot of money.
COMPUTER RUN TESTED:
Each and every machine is computer run tested in both heating and cooling modes. Many manufacturers only check for “compressor run” and some only "spot check” a percentage of their production. Our testing methods are second to none and is a mark of our quality control.
HELIUM LEAK TESTED:
Every refrigeration circuit is pressure tested with helium gas. Helium is much more prone to find a leak, as it is made up of smaller molecules and is easier to detect. This means that the chances of having a refrigeration leak are much lower than on competitive equipment.
PERSONAL SIGNATURE OF TESTER:
Every machine produced comes with the personal signature of the final inspector. This is a major factor, since the responsibility for the finished product will find its way back to the individual.
ADDITIONAL ACCESSORY RELAY:
An additional accessory relay is provided on all equipment. This greatly simplifies the wiring of accessories such as a humidifier, ERV and many other devices.
INTERNALLY FUSED LOOP PUMP CONNECTIONS:
Many manufacturers do not even provide for these connections, let alone fuse them. Code requires that they be fused separately from the master contactor, but in many cases this does not get done. Since the pumps run on much smaller wire, should a short occur in the pump circuit, the large breaker would not trip. This could be a very real fire and safety hazard.
PLUG MODULE ON ELECTRICAL BOX:
This might not sound important until you need to remove the box to access other components for service. There is no need to un-hook each wire and then make sure they all get back in the right place when you replace the box. It’s a time saver.
ECM DIP SWITCHES:
Each unit equipped with an ECM motor comes with dip switch controls which allows the installing contractor to re-adjust motor performance to suit the specific conditions for the application. Some manufacturers believe “one size fits all” and program the motors at the factory. Without flexibility, many installations come out less than perfect.
DIAGNOSTIC INPUTS AND OUTPUTS:
The onboard diagnostics are unrivaled in the industry. They are not simply a bunch of blinking lights, but are problem specific. Also, with the flip of a switch they will change function and allow the technician to read all of the “calls” from the thermostat. Flip another switch and you can read what the board is sending. This can save countless hours of diagnostic time.
INEXPENSIVE CIRCUIT BOARD:
You would think that all of this sophisticated electronic diagnostics would require a very expensive PC board. Not the case. This board is inexpensive to replace, but it is unlikely that it will need replacing. It’s been in use since 1990 with very few problems.
WARRANTY OPTIONS:
We offer more warranty options than most manufacturers. Our higher end warranties surpass nearly all of our competitors. Ask your dealer about these warranties. You will be pleasantly surprised.
RAPID DELIVERY:
GeoComfort equipment is shipped from the largest inventory in the upper Midwest. Standard equipment will usually ship the day you order. Non-stock items carry extremely short lead times. You do not need to order a month or two in advance. Likewise, our replacement parts inventories are large and complete. Order parts in the morning and it will ship in the afternoon, overnight if necessary.
YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS
We offer the GEOTHERMAL ASSURANCE PROGRAM. We will actually GUARANTEE that the heating costs of our systems will not exceed a pre-determined amount for a period of five years. If your customer's costs exceed this amount WE PAY THE DIFFERENCE!!! THIS MAKES IT HARD NOT TO BELIEVE IN GEO!!!!
